John was a good neighbor and friend. When we were in high school, our families went to Bryce Canyon at Easter time with other families. It seemed like their wasn't much to do for our age group. Our senior year, John and I met on a large rock; we watched the sun rise and talked for hours. John was passionate about his ideals.
