Nita Ann Dale Milner 1952 ~ 2004 Our beautiful wife, mother, daughter and sister, Nita Ann Dale Milner, passed away on New Years Day 2004 in Utah Valley Regional Medical Center from complications of diabetes. Nita is the daughter of William M. and Lynnette Barrus Dale, born July 28, 1952 in Salt Lake City. She attended Salt Lake City schools, graduating from Highland High School in 1970. A gifted musician, she excelled on the piano and organ. As a youth she accompanied choirs and individuals. Her teachers presented her in solo recitals and she competed in the Utah State Fair piano competition. She taught many children to play the piano and to have an appreciation for music. In 1971 she married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Scott Milner in the Salt Lake Temple. They have a son, Matthew Scott Milner who served a mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is married to Emily Bishop of Orem and they have given Nita a grandson (Scott David) and granddaughter (Norah Linnette). Nita was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother in a family she dearly loved and to which she devoted her life. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nita held many positions including Relief Society teacher, ward organist and choir accompanist. She loved the Gospel, and, full of faith, accepted the health challenges of her life. Frequently unable to sleep nights, she turned such times into deeply emotional spiritual experiences that often found voice in the form of songs or poems. She won several awards in Church-sponsored music and writing contests in 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991, and 1993. Children around the world perform and enjoy her song, "When I Am Baptized," in the Primary Children's Songbook. Two other songs were published in the Friend. Her article, "Gifts From a Stranger" was published in the Dec. 1992 Ensign. Nita left this life prepared by her faith in the Savior, whose comfort she had felt often. Her example of strength and happiness in the face of adversity blessed all who loved her. We are grateful she is now able to rest in the Lord. She is survived by her husband, son and daughter-in-law, two grand children, parents, brother Paul (Suzette) of Gilbert, AZ, sisters Mary Lynn (Jim) Mickelson of Big Piney, WY, and Amy (Peter) Schulz of Salt Lake, and brother-in-law Tom Vett of Dallas, TX.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS chapel located at 25 N. Main St., Lindon, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, Utah, and again one hour prior to the funeral at the chapel. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens cemetery, Sandy, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Deseret Foundation at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Nita was a beautiful loving mother and companion. I loved to sit and listen to her play the classical music on the piano. I was able to watch her write, I Like To Look For Rainbows, a Baptism song in the Children’s Song Book. We loved being with each other from the time we were juniors. We had 32 wonderful happy loving years together. She is my best friend and now I have another best friend there with her who as soon as we can, will also be my eternal love also. Connie Browning.❤️❤️
