In Memory

Cindy Lambert (Egan)

Cindy Lambert (Egan)

1951 ~ 2013
Cynthia Jeanne Lambert Egan, 61, passed away peacefully in her childhood home the morning of October 21, 2013, just as the sun began to rise.
She was born October 26, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clyde Elliot and Betty Jean Lambert. She married her high school sweetheart David Egan on January 11, 1969. In 1999, after 30 years of marriage, David passed away. She was eager to be reunited with the love of her life.
Cindy was re-born on July 28, 2008 after undergoing a lung transplant. Her donated lung was received from Gary Higgins of Louisiana. For 5 years she was able to embrace and enjoy her family thanks to the selfless gift of Gary, his wife Beth and their children Lara and Timmy.
Her life revolved around her family. There was nothing more important to her than her children, grandchildren, brother and sisters. She was always thinking of others and would do anything to help those in need. She was known for giving people random gifts, just because she was thinking of them. She was the epitome of generosity and kindness.
Cindy is preceded in death by her husband David, parents Clyde and Betty and brother Richard.
Cindy is survived by her son Jason (Anno) Egan and daughter Jessica (Nathan) Wright; sisters Julie (Jeff) Wood, Lyssa (Fred Dunn) Lambert and Suzanne (Kim) Rieck; grandchildren Cody Egan, Courtney Egan, Dillon Wright, Tegan Wright and McKayli Wright.
True to her giving personality, she donated her body to the University Of Utah School Of Medicine, to help educate our future health professionals.
Special thanks to the U of U Hospital and the Lung Transplant team.

Cindy lived down the street from me and we go back to elementary school. Always a smile on her face, great sense of humor and hugely generous. A lovely individual. When she and Dave got together it was obvious they were meant to be together.  Loved them both.
