David R. Makoff died December 15, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born on March 14, 1952 in Salt Lake City to Richard P. and Colleen Mortensen Makoff.

He graduated from Highland High School, attended the University of Utah and graduated from Minneapolis School of Art and Design. David was a successful designer and talented artist. In his spare time he was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He loved the ocean and valued his time in Hawaii. David was beloved of many and his friends were life long.

David is survived by two devoted brothers, Rocky Makoff and John

Makoff; sister-in-law Tonya; nephews Sam Makoff; David Johnson and niece Angela Oviatt; his father, Richard P. Makoff; step-mother Sidney Makoff; step-brother, John Gibbs Makoff; wife Justine, and their children, Dillon and Madison. He is preceded in death by his mother, Colleen.
