Thank you for posting this memory of Gary Morris.  He lived behind me and for a long time I was scared to death of him.  One afternoon he climbed over the fence while I was swinging.  We got laughing about something and it broke down his tough image and we became friends.  From that day on I felt that he was a protector and true friend.

I fondly remember Gary as “The Mori” (“more-i”).  He was always friendly to everyone, and a trickster to anyone.

Even to this day, when I hear Gary's name I can't help but smile and shake my head from side to side for the great joy he brought to all of us. Gary blessed all our lives in some shape or form, so I take a moment of silence in memory of Gary . . . .  Go forth Gary and make a path for the rest of us Rams.  And may I extend to those of you who are uncomfortable with my next few words, but HELL, I don't want to see St. Peter at the pearly gates, I want to be greeted by Gary, and then let the good times roll. heart

Ahhh Gary...I, like Marcia, was afraid of Gary at first. I used to laugh at his antics in school. He could bring a smile to my face even when he was being a clown in class. I remember getting to know him better while we attended Hillside Jr High. At Clayton I remember getting in trouble with my counselor, Mr Limb for laughing at a stunt he did in the school lobby. We never conversed really. I just thought he was funny. Then one day I was walking home from Clayton by myself and he came up behind me acting all crazy, like he could. I was a little scared but he quickly came by and grabbed my books and walked me home another two blocks. We laughed and talked all the way. When we got to my house he bowed as he handed my books to me. I asked him, "Gary, where are your books?" He laughed that big laugh of his and smiled, "oh, I don't need books, I'm smart!" We were always friends after that day. RIP my friend.

I met Gary in the seventh grade at Hillside. One day he came to my house on a banana bike and wanted to take me for a ride on the back. He took me over to the upper ball field at Hillside and rode down the three big flights of stairs with me on the back of his bike. We both laughed so hard I wet my pants and he walked me home. We were always friends and he always made me laugh. I think he genuinely liked all of us and we liked him back. He was one of those people that just makes life fun!

I will never forget Gary. I knew him from elementary school. He always appeared to be about 4 years older than he was. Always laughing and playing around. He was a great golfer. He might of held a record low game at Bonivile golf course. I remember going to a golf match in Heber City and riding with him. I wondered if I would make it. I think we caught air on some of those bumps in the road. He would just cry weeeeeee as we went over them. I still do that with my family on a bumpy roads, but not as fast as Gary.

Love ya Gary.

I knew Gary from Clayton Elementary. My fondest memories are the day he wore his sister's underpants on his head to school and the day there was an earthquake. I believe it was in 6th grade in Mrs. Beers' class. Gary sat at the back of the room and was leaning his chair against the back wall. As the room began to move back and forth, Mrs. Beers yelled, "Gary!! Stop shaking the room."
