Jack Okland

Jack Okland, Jr., 50, passed away peacefully in his home June 21, 2002. Born to Jack and Jeanne Grant Okland in Salt Lake City Oct. 24, 1951. Pur-sued a successful career in graphic design and archi-tectural photo-graphy following his graduation from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Mar-ried Pam Terry in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Dec 1, 1995. His life was centered on service: to his Heavenly Father, an LDS mission in Spain, numerous Church callings throughout his life; and to his country, in the Army reserves. With his quiet unassuming way, he served others - the elderly, the less fortunate and his family. Jack's sweet ways buoyed up those with whom he came in contact. His example of kindness and generosity, selflessness, and consideration is inspiring. His deep faith, courage, patience and sense of humor bless the lives of those who knew him. Survived by his wife, Pam; stepdaughters, Audrey Terry (NYC), Amy (Kenneth) Byron (SLC); parents, Jack and Jeanne Okland; brothers, J. Ran-dy (Sandra England), James (Carolee Haney); and sisters, Jill (Thomas) Tuft, Joy (Scoff) Ellis. Preceded in death by brother, Jeffrey Grant Okland; and grandparents, John Jr. and Martha Larsen Okland, Clarence and Ruby Beck Grant.
