Don Remington

Don Remington

Don passed away on 13 August 2016 at Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City after a short battle with cancer. Don was born 23 September 1951 in Salt Lake City to Newell C. Remington (deceased) and Winnifred Kennard Remington Call (deceased). 
Don grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from Highland High School. Don served a two year full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico, baptizing over 200 Saints. He graduated from Brigham Young University in mechanical engineering. His first major employer was Bechtel Engineering in Phoenix, Arizona for three years. He then worked for Northrop Grumman until his retirement in 2012. Don was married to Diana Proctor 1982 (divorced). Don also married Christine Rose 1996 (divorced); step-children are Scott, Jeremy, Jacob and Cassi. 
Don became an international expert and military advisor regarding missiles launched from submarines. He loved physics and mathematics and loved to dream about engineering projects. He became well sought after as an expert witness for accident reconstruction cases involving extremely large sums of money. 
He is survived by brothers; David N. Remington (Shirlene), Erda, Utah and John (Doug) Remington (Bonnie), Salt Lake City, Utah. 
Don's laid back and friendly personality endeared him to those he met. He loved to share his engineering knowledge with others by showing them how things worked. He had recently worked as a volunteer at a community education center helping students and others with mathematics and physics. 
He will be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who knew and loved him.
