Dave and I were good friends throughout our lives.  I kept in contact with him as he moved around the country.  When I traveled from Arizona to Oklahoma to see my in-laws I would try to stop by Dave's place in Albuquerque.  When I attended his funeral, there were several of his work colleagues from Intel who commented that he had shared stories about "Higgins" and "Boney" and others in his training assignments.  They said that they enjoyed the stories, but wondered if these were real people.  I assured them that they were.

Dave's musical talent exploded during our senior year; he loved mentoring others when it came to music.
