In Memory

Connie Browning (Milner)

Connie Browning (Milner)

Connie Browning (Hayes) Milner of South Jordan, our beloved nana, mom, daughter, friend and sweetheart passed from this life in the early morning of January 4, 2020 surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's home in League City, TX.  She courageously fought a long battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer and even though the cancer took her life too soon, she won the battle by the way she loved and lived her life. She will always be a shining example to all who knew her. She faced her life's challenges with courage, optimism, and confidence.

Connie was born May 17, 1952 in SLC, UT.  Daughter of Kenneth James Browning (deceased) and Arlene Frint Browning. Graduated from Highland High School in 1970 and was actively involved in planning reunions for many years.  After graduation she began a 50 year career in the Mortgage loan business, retiring in 2017. She worked hard and gave 100% to her job and being a loving mother, raising 2 daughters all on her own. She taught them to be strong and compassionate by her example.

Connie was always helping and caring for others.  She loved her mother Arlene and shared her home with her for 30 years.  She had a unique, supporting, and loyal relationship with her group of girlfriends that lasted from childhood and throughout her life. They raised their kids, played, and traveled together.

Connie spent most of her free time camping and was happiest in the mountains.  She was very industrious and independent. She enjoyed taking care of her home and working in her yard.   She enjoyed being with her family. She loved being a Nana and adored her grandkids. Her family was most important to her.

Connie and her sweetheart Scott have the most beautiful love story.  They began dating at just 15 years old and neither could remember why they ever stopped.  They reconnected 50 years later in February of 2018. They have been inseparable ever since. They married on January 19, 2019. Their love for each other has far expanded the time they had together and will continue to grow for eternity.

Connie is survived by her husband Scott Milner, daughters: Amy (Michael) Grimes and Jami (Greg) Jones, mother Arlene Frint Browning, brother Alan (Peggy) Browning, and her grandkids Katie, Brielle, Jessica , Brian and Colton.

Connie also loved her bonus family Matt (Emily) Milner and grandkids Scott, Norah, Dale, Clark and Reed.

This beautiful woman had a smile that didn’t change in 50 years and if you were lucky enough to receive one you felt the joy that it would bring. Our finding each other again did not happen by chance. From the day we met again the 50 years melted away and we were those kids again. We put more years of loving and living in 21 months it felt like we were never apart. My love for her and her family will never end. It feels to me that the windows of heaven have opened up and poured out blessings in my life that I can scarcely comprehend.  When it’s my turn to pass I have two of the most wonderful women that have ever lived on this earth waiting for me and our love will continue forever. I’ll miss you sweetheart.
